Information Regarding Head Sculpt
2026-1-7
First of all, we would like to extend our sincerest apologies to everyone. At present, some orders have not yet been shipped according to the original schedule (under normal circumstances, white prototypes are usually completed and delivered within approximately one month).
The primary reason for this delay is that we encountered a series of issues during the printing process in our studio. We recently introduced a brand-new high-precision printing resin, which is relatively sensitive in its material properties. In addition, in order to increase the weight and overall tactile quality of the head sculpts, we have adopted a fully solid printing method going forward. This placed significantly higher demands on machine stability and resulted in a consistently higher defect rate. Compared to hollow printing, some unexpected surface textures appeared on the head sculpts during the early solid-print tests.
After replacing certain machine components, re-calibrating the equipment, and re-testing prints and support structures from various angles, the printing issues have now been fully resolved.
While waiting for the printing process to resume, Jim took the opportunity to make slight refinements and additional detailing to the head sculpt using our sixth-generation portrait sculpting system. The hair was reworked, while no major changes were made to other areas. Therefore, the paintwork will continue to follow the original head sculpt as reference. Updated render images of the revised head sculpt will be provided at the final stage.
Once again, we sincerely apologize for the delay and truly appreciate your patience and understanding.
This month, the equipment has been successfully repaired and returned to the studio. We have resumed in-house printing and are maintaining daily production. Finished products will be shipped immediately upon completion, on a first-come, first-serve basis. We kindly ask collectors who have not yet received their orders to be patient. We sincerely apologize once again for this delay and truly appreciate your understanding and patience.
In addition, due to previous incidents where the misuse of third-party neck pegs caused damage to the head sculpture joints, all head sculptures with necks in this batch are now equipped with the studio’s dedicated neck pegs to ensure optimal compatibility with the body. Please make sure to use the original neck peg provided with the product during assembly to avoid any unnecessary damage.
